Ah, traditions. The one thing you can (more or less) count on.

For my family, itโ€™s kind of a strange one.

Whenever we set up our navity scene with the little porcelain figures, my dad hides the little baby Jesus til Christmas.

Us kids always try to find Jesusโ€”and sometimes we succeedโ€”but our dad always says something ridiculous about us cutting the baby out of Mary and something crazy, then hides it again if we found it.

Another one is that we always have a big, unhealthy breakfast with all of our (close by) family before presents.

(Iโ€™m not sure if that counts or not, but it seems like no one else does that kinda thing, so Iโ€™ll use it.)

The last one is that we have a little advent calendar puzzle thing that we (us kids) all take turns pulling out the little boxes and whatnot; itโ€™s always a huge deal if you get to pull out the Christmas Eve box.

Mm. I hope I get to pull out the 24th box this year.

bye
